I had got out of the habit of regularly walking in the countryside (work had taken over a bit), so it was a lovely relief to start again. Here is a walk I made to redress the balance:
My friend and I walked through the woods of Palace House Road in Hebden Bridge and then up and up into the fields. I have really fond memories of this walk as it is where I used to walk my friends puppy.
It was actually quite a dull day; a bit windy, a bit rainy, but it was amazing still. Nature always wins.
The trees higher up were just on the turn.
It was the right time of year for wearing cloudy brooches on coats.
It fuelled me for the rest of the day.
