Printed from an original painting inspired by the feeling of still having a foot in summer and enjoying the last blooms but knowing Autumn is fast approaching. Heather blooms from August to October and gifts us colour, the last pink hues.
Colour is so intrinsic to my paintings and I love being lost in the shapes and tones of the moors. I painted it in oils, layering and blending as I went.
